AR and VR

They Live was one if the first depictions of something like AR glasses.

"Nada discovers that the sunglasses make the world appear monochrome, but also reveal subliminal messages in the media to consume, reproduce, and conform. The glasses also reveal that many people are actually aliens with skull-like faces."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Live#Plot

https://fusionanomaly.net/theylive.html A filtered layer of reality under the ET layer of reality. Only the AR glasses reveal the larger perception of reality. Ray_Nelson_(author) created quite a fascinating story in 1963. Then John_Carpenter created the fantastic movie in 1988.   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Live#Development

Brave New World Canceled

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/brave-new-world-canceled-at-peacock

 https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2020/oct/02/brave-new-world-review-sky-tv

This TV update of BNW was very good, but its just limited to 9 episodes.

https://www.rollingstone.com/tv/tv-reviews/brave-new-world-peacock-review-1027166

Of course some people remain unimpressed with this latest adaptation of the book.

https://www.bbc.com/culture/article/20200630-brave-new-world-a-series-so-bad-even-the-orgies-are-dull

Its not just a story about a bunch of people horsing around and thinking that they are free.

The main thing about the BNW story is that the people who are trapped within the totalitarian system, don't even know how to question The Nature of Reality. (TNOR)
